Konec januarja imam rojstni dan, fantov rojstni dan pa sledi kmalu v februarju. Letos sva praznovanje za bližnje organizirala kar skupaj. Zmeraj razmišljava o tem, ali naj dava hrano na mizo in si vsak sam vzame, ali naj jo postreževa že na krožnike. Zaradi postavitve jedilnice, ki se nahaja v skupnem prostoru s kuhinjo, nama je lažje krožnike že servirati in jih postreči gostom. Tako sva naredila tudi v soboto.

Aperitiv: Penina z granatnim jabolkom
Hladna predjed:
Bučkini zvitki z namazom s praženimi bučnimi semeni in bučnim oljem
Pršut

Brokolijeva juha s domačimi česnovimi krutoni
Glavna jed:
Romesco omaka in grški jogurt
Pečeno mlado korenje
Svinjska ribica
Sladica:
Čokoladni browniji v vanilijevi omaki

Večerja je kar dobro uspela. Na izboljšavo čakajo še princeske, ki so se malce ponesrečile, ampak sem prepričana, da bodo z malo vaje naslednjič že dosti boljše. Zaenkrat toliko, naslednjič pa vam izdam še recept za aperitivo penino z granatnim jabolkom. Pa še slika z nekaj darili, ki sva jih dobila.
My birthday is at the and of January and soon after that my boyfriend also has his. This year we have decided that we will organize a mutual birthday celebration for our close ones. We are always deciding how to serve the food. Should we put the food on the table so that everyone can take the things they want, or should we serve the food on plates. Usually we decide for the second option and the reason is really simple. We have a joint dinning room and kitchen and so it is easier to serve the food on the plates. It’s what we did on Saturday.

Aperitivo: Sparkling pomegranate wine
Cold appetizer:
Zucchini rolls and ricotta spread with roasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil
Prosciutto
Bread
Warm appetizer:
Broccoli soup with home made garlic croutons
Main coarse:
Romesco sauce and greek yoghurt
Baked baby carrots
Pork tenderloin
Desert:
Chocolate brownies with vanilla sauce
Princess doughnuts
Dinner was a success. The princess doughnuts still need a few improvements, but I’m sure that with a little practice they will be perfect. This is it for now. Next post coming up will be about the aperitivo: sparkling pomegranate wine. Feel free to read it and try it at home.
